I was a wreck. I couldn't finish anything. Couldn't say anymore. Nothing else would come out of my mouth except cries of sorrow. I felt like such a horrible person. I had treated Tad so badly, yet he was here. Here listening to me. Here wanting to help me.

When 1 couldn't speak another word, he grabbed me, pulled me tight in his arms, and said, "It'll be OK."

This guy cared about me deeper than Dakari ever could. If I was smart enough to realize that, smart enough not to miss anything that Dakari wasn't giving, I could've avoided my situation. Hindsight, as they say, is 20/20, but, boy, did I wish I could correct so much, 'cause it felt good, secure, and safe in Tad's arms. Like he wanted nothing but my best. I was hurting and mainly because of poor choices. I had brought a lot of things on myself. After about five minutes or so, 1 calmed down.

"So who was it, Payton? Who was this guy who tried to force himself on you? I wanna know."

Now see? I thought to myself. I was not tryin' to tell him this information so he could go and make it a bigger problem. However, he didn't seem to be letting up. He kept asking and wanted to know.

Though I was flattered that he wanted to fix this for me, he couldn't. And knowing the person's name wasn't going to help anything. The damage was done, and there didn't need to be more pieces to put back together, and in some kind of way, I had to explain this to Tad.

"Why do you keep asking me, Tad? I said I didn't wanna tell you. I said I didn't wanna talk about who it was and all this stuff. Just like that guy who kept going on and on trying to force himself on me, you're now trying to force me to tell you who it is and I don't wanna tell you. OK? No."
